Deep Creek Lake lays in northwest Maryland in Garrett County in the Allegany Highlands region of the Appalachian Mountains. It covers 3,900 acres with 69 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 25 feet, and a maximum depth of 75 feet. Deep Creek Lake is the largest of Maryland's inland lakes.
